Userscript: Ahrefs Copy Keywords

Quickly copy generated keywords and their respective volume from Ahrefs or Semrush keyword generators

Installation

Install userscript manager

1. Install a userscript manager, such as Tampermonkey (Chrome | Edge | Firefox).
2. Pin the Tampermonkey icon for easy access by clicking the 🧩 puzzle piece icon to the right of the address bar and then the 📌 pin icon next to Tampermonkey.
3. For Chrome/Edge, allow userscripts:
   1. Right-click the Tampermonkey icon and select "Manage extension".
   2. Enable the "Allow user scripts" option.
   3. Enable "Developer mode" (shown at top right on Chrome or bottom left on Edge).
   4. Restart your browser for the new settings to take effect.

Install this userscript

ahrefs-copy-keywords.user.js

1. Open ahrefs-copy-keywords.user.js.
   • If this doesn't open in the newly-installed userscript manager, you may need to restart your browser.
2. Click "Install", "Update", or "Reinstall", or otherwise follow the instructions in your userscript manager as required.

Usage

To run:

1. Go to the Ahrefs or Semrush keyword generator.
2. Enter your main keyword and click Find keywords.
3. Wait for keywords to be displayed, answering the Captcha if necessary.
4. Without selecting any text, press Ctrl+C once the keywords are displayed.
   • Note: If you select any text first, the browser's normal copy functionality will be used instead.
5. Paste results into Excel or another program.
